Decorating the House
Posted by Gina on Jun 30, 2008
This past weekend I had a couple of days off from work. It felt kind of weird to have so much free time. It helped me to relax and brought to mind some things that I have put off due to lack of time. One of those things is redecorating our house. We moved in about 3 years ago and still haven’t quite finished all the decorating.
I have decided to do some work on our family room. That is the room that we have neglected the most. It seems like that’s also the room that we are in the least. So my plan is to finish painting the ceiling and also to get rid of some of the clutter. Our house is pretty small so having too many books or magazines makes a difference. It makes the house look messy. So my next big task will be redoing that room. I can already envision what I want it to look like. I can’t wait until it’s done. I guess I put it off long enough it’s time to get started.

If you are anything like me you love to do on-line shopping. About 5 years ago I fell in love with Ebay. I would spend hours and hours on that site every night. Then tonight to my surprise I ran across the greatest website for all your on-line shopping needs. It’s called dropship products. Not only can you buy clothing, children’s books and toys, electronics, and sporting goods, but you can also build an on-line business of your own complete with a hosted storefront. This site is incredible. It offers so much for consumers by providing them with the software they need for their individual business needs. I don’t want to forget to mention their full service dropshipping to both the USA and Canada, as well as, their amazing auction selling tools.
So much has happened since technology has become a part of our day to day lives. It has allowed businesses such as dropshipping to grow and succeed internationally. online storefront has been around since 2004 and has already managed to acquire customers in 22 countries! The US headquarters are located in San Francisco, CA. I am currently in Washington, D.C. and I will be doing some shopping on this site. Thank God for the internet how did we ever survive without it.
Disaster Cleanup Services from Water Restoration

This subject hits close to home for me. Last year my husbands business got flooded. The foundation has been sinking for about 8 months now. Unfortunately we did not call disaster cleanup at the time the flooding occurred. Now 8 months later the damage is up to over $64,000. Renovations are now underway, but if things were taken care of right away we could have saved a whole lot of money.
Water Restoration 911 is a website that offers 24 hour as well as 7 day a week service throug out the USA. The amazing thing is that they can be on the scene in 30 minutes in most areas of the continental United States. With the recent hail storms, tornados, and scary weather patterns this is a website you want to have on hand.
In the Dark

How did people survive without electricity? Today at work we lost power and we had to close early. That was really nice, but for two hours we were sitting in the dark unable to do anything. The phones were dead, the computers were off, and the whole center was completely dark.
It’s so funny how we depend on electricity. It’s scary when you really think about it and how it affects our day to day living. On my way home from work my car almost ran out of gas. I knew I was low, but I also knew that I would have enough to get me to the nearest gas station after work. What I didn’t expect was to have to go to five different gas stations before finding one that had power. I made it though. I was able to put gas in before I ran out, and I made it home safe and sound. Next time the light comes on telling me I’m low on gas I just might stop right then and there and take care of it.
Air Purifiers

My husband and I just purchased the best product around. It’s called an air purifier or air cleaner. We got one because of my Mark’s allergies. They seem to have been a lot worse this year than they have been in the past. We figured out that having two additional cats in the house was probably the reason behind the additional problems he was having. The air filter we decided on has been amazing.
Over 99% of his problems have been taken care of. My husband can breathe normally in the morning when he wakes up, and he has been able to stop using his nose spray. The clean air filters have really been a lifesaver for us and I can’t say enough good things about this product. If you want more information please go to air cleaners smoke.

Just recently my husband and I decided to get rid of our old carpet and put wood floors in our house. What a great decision that has been. The floors are gorgeous and easy to manage. But we still needed to buy some area rugs to use near the door and down the hallway. We were not sure about what exactly we were looking for until we ran across the website Rugs. Wow what an amazing website. Easy to read, easy to follow, and they had so many pictures of sample rugs to choose from. Once I found this website I didn’t have to look any further. If you need an area rug take a look at this site. You will not be disappointed. http://www.selectrugs.com/rugdetails.aspx?id=15396&name=Dunes%20Gold_rug.html.
The Bathtub

The other night I stayed at a hotel. Sometimes I just like to get away and have breakfast in bed and somebody wait on me. I love sneaking away to hotels every now and then for these reasons.
I usually stay at this nice resort that is about 30 minutes from my home. Immediately when I walked in I realized something was different. I noticed a big hole in the ceiling right in the main lobby area. I also noticed that part of the lobby was blocked off by yellow caution tape. Of course I was curious about what was going on. I mean you hear all these stories about people committing suicide in hotels, or other crazy things happening. Plus I kind of feel like one of the family there, I know the whole front desk on a first name basis. So asking about the situation wasn’t too out of line.
I walked up to Alex and asked what had happened. He smiled and laughed a little and began to tell me that a man had fallen asleep in the bathtub. A look of confusion must have come across my face, because I didn’t understand how that would have resulted in a hole in the ceiling. Then he added that he fell asleep while the water was still running. I had to laugh, I’m not sure if it was out of shock or confusion. Either way it was funny. As they say people never cease to amaze me.
